Oliver Inc. is looking for a dedicated, accurate and steady Sheeter Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for converting raw material rolls of paper into sheets to supply our manufacturing plant. Reporting to the Plant Manager, the person will be able to operate a drive a forklift and clamp truck and operate a sheeter machine to cut the rolls into sheets of the specified board size and standard quality. The Sheeter Operator will focus on monitor the machine and correct problems as they occur.

Responsibilities

• Adjusts machine for cut, slit, quantity according to job requisition; adjusts roll stand, belts, delivery.
• Ensure total quality of the job while in operation.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate teamwork spirit.
• Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on equipment.
• Conduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner.
• Follow all applicable SQF procedures and make recommendations for system improvements as identified.

Qualifications

• A general knowledge of sheeting and paper and the skill necessary to understand and perform related work routines of some difficulty.
• Familiarity with computers - will use sheeting database and sheeter computer.
• Trouble shooting mind set.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
• Ability to spend most of the day walking or standing; ability to lift to 50 lbs.
• People oriented.
